UDS' Semester Two Drama
Backcounty Crossing

Bzzt. Yard, do you copy?

Bella Dawn has just stepped foot back in her hometown, Backcounty, after dropping out of college. But something is…off. Not only are her hometown friends beginning to move on with their lives, but she soon discovers this Route 66 town is engulfed by the shadow of a dark mystery. As a last ditch effort to rekindle old friendships, she ropes her friends into getting to the bottom of this mystery. But can she find herself in the process?

Set in rural Arizona in 1995, Backcounty Crossing sets a nostalgic backdrop to a drama filled with excitement, intrigue and humour. This play also features original music composed by Felix Frichot.

University Dramatic Society is proud to present this semester-two drama, with original script written and directed by Patrick McFerran.

UDS acknowledges that our storytelling will take place on the land of the original storytellers of this Boodja, the Whadjuk Noongar people. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
