The Ransom Prize is the UWA Conservatorium's annual composition award, showcasing the next generation of Australian composers. Hear four world premieres by emerging composers Evangeline Frew, Stirling Bralich, Gabriel Yacopetti and 2025 Ransom Prize winner Joonwoo Kim, performed by the UWA Symphony Orchestra.
Inspired by the soaring architecture of Winthrop Hall, each work offers a unique musical response to one of Perth's most iconic performance spaces.
Be part of the experience by voting in the People's Choice Award during the interval, before the 2026 Ransom Prize winner is announced.
The evening concludes with a powerful work by acclaimed Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina.
