Aranmore Catholic College’s 2026 Production of Disney’s High School Musical On Stage
High School Musical On Stage tells the story of two students at East High who discover a shared passion for music. Basketball star Troy Bolton and intelligent new student Gabriella Montez meet during winter break and reconnect when Gabriella transfers to East High. When auditions for the school musical are announced, the pair decide to try out for the lead roles. However, their decision surprises their classmates, as Troy is expected to focus only on basketball while Gabriella is encouraged to concentrate on academics.
As Troy and Gabriella prepare for the audition, they face opposition from drama stars Sharpay Evans and Ryan Evans, who will do anything to protect their leading roles. At the same time, students across East High begin stepping outside the groups and labels that define them, discovering new talents and interests along the way. Through lively musical numbers and moments of teamwork and determination, the show highlights the importance of individuality, friendship, and having the courage to follow your passions.
