The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show

One of the most-read and famous children’s books of all time, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ emerges off the page in a masterful theatrical experience for the whole family.

Journey through Eric Carle’s incredible stories as they come to life on stage in this enchanting show. Featuring some other delightful characters from three of Eric Carle’s bestselling classics tales including  ‘The Artist Who Painted A Blue Horse’, ‘Mr. Seahorse' and ‘The Very Lonely Firefly’.

This Australian made show will excite, educate and entertain new readers and first-time theatre-goers, while those who grew up with these books will delight in experiencing one of the most popular children’s books ever written.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, directed by Naomi Edwards and with 75 magical puppets created by New York's Puppet Kitchen. 

This is a timeless classic for all generations.  

Purchase a VIP 'Meet the Puppets' ticket and after the show you can meet them all and have a photo with the star! VIP ticket holders will also receive a Very Hungry Caterpillar lanyard & pass. Limited number available at each performance. Ticket holders will be contacted before the show with further information.

Please note: This performance is great for patrons aged 4+. Children aged 2 and over will need a ticket to attend this performance. Children aged under 2 do not require a ticket, but will need to sit in an adult's lap for the duration of the show. 

Concessions include full time students, pensioners and seniors.

Relaxed Performance @ 12:30pm: 

Some young people might be easily scared, have a learning disability or just find it hard to follow theatre conventions. They’re especially welcome at 12:30pm on Friday 23 November. Lights remain low, loud noises are softened and they can leave and enter at any time. This performance will be AUSLAN interpreted.
