A very special evening of remembrance in the candle-lit Cathedral as we near the centenary of the end of World War I.
Richard Offen joins us to compere this concert with a commentary especially focusing on Alaric Pindar Boor (1892-1917): a young Perth local who died as part of the battle at Beersheba, Palestine. A remarkable young man, he was a Rhodes Scholar and an airman: his memorial Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Clune at St Mary’s Cathedral a few weeks following his death in Palestine.
At this concert, we are featuring our very first interstate artist: Yoram Levy (Principal Trumpet, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra) teaming up with Perth’s very own Katja Webb, the Cathedral Choir and organ.
