UWA Choral Society joins forces with the Giovanni Consort to present this wide-ranging and daring program featuring works by Handel, Bach and Paul Stanhope. Stanhope is a Sydney-based composer and a leading figure in his generation of Australian composers. His Exile Lamentations reflects upon the experience of displacement, homelessness and banishment. Bach’s Lutheran Mass in G also features in the program and Handel’s virtuosic and vivacious Dixit Dominus abounds with drama and energy for an explosive concert finale.
Performed at Winthrop Hall with over 100 voices and orchestra, don’t miss this spellbinding performance.
