Join us as over one hundred voices from the UWA Choral Society and a specially selected group of prominent West Australian soloists weave through the extraordinary beauty of Mozart and Rosetti’s Requiems. Mozart’s hauntingly beautiful, unfinished Requiem has always been the object of legend – though left unfinished at the time of his death this iconic work has become a favourite of audiences and performers alike.
In this Australian premiere, Rosetti’s own Requiem makes a fitting companion piece to Mozart’s final transcendent work. An engaging, celebratory piece, it is a touching memento of Mozart’s death, and an introduction to Rosetti as a contemporary of Mozart. Conducted by Christopher van Tuinen and featuring soloists Katja Webb, Kristin Bowtell, Courtney Pitman and Perry Joyce, this concert is not to be missed.
