Lean on Pete
‘A knockout emotional triumph.’ - Film Inquiry

A boy yearns for love, family and his adopted horse.

Though he hasn’t seen her for ages, 15-year-old Charlie’s strongest emotional bond is to his estranged Aunt. For now he’s stuck with his well-meaning deadbeat dad, but when he stumbles into the world of low-stakes horseracing something pulls him closer. Lean on Pete is a film of deeply felt emotion, superbly directed and with an outstanding cast that includes Steve Buscemi and Chloë Sevigny.
